At a time when they are needed most, we at Dog Detectives Ltd are producing quality fully trained Explosive Detection Dogs. All trained and generalised on ‘LIVE’ Explosive samples.
Explosion Detection
All our dogs are trained to the highest of standards which are used worldwide, whether that be UK ACPO, NASDU or UNOPS all dogs are produced and provided to an exemplary standard.
All training is conducted using the latest training methods and learning theories combined with a clicker reinforcement so that these dogs are easily transferred to their new handlers.
All our dogs are trained on ‘LIVE EXPLOSIVES’ for which Dog Detectives is one of the few companies in the UK to be licenced to possess.
Dog Detectives has the full range of current ‘in use’ substances but these can be varied to correspond with local conditions and threats for overseas clients.
All dogs supplied by Dog Detectives undergo an intensive bespoke structured training course which is considered longer and more in-depth than most military and police force requirements. A copy of this is available upon request.
All new dogs are initially screened and selected using our comprehensive and detailed selection process and upon successful completion of this process they are then given a thorough Health Check by our DEFRA approved Veterinary Centre.
These successful new dogs are then entered into our training program and trained to find and indicate using a passive ‘SIT’ indication in a variety of scenarios including but not limited too –
- Buildings
- Vehicles
- Open Area
- Route
- Baggage
We use a mixture of both onsite and offsite training areas to condition the dogs to new and challenging areas ready for their working life after successful completion of the training course.
All our dogs are trained using the most up to date training methods, operant conditioning and learning theories with clicker markers.
